{"id":7177,"date":"2021-08-29T09:31:36","date_gmt":"2021-08-29T09:31:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/behzistdanesh.com\/?p=7177"},"modified":"2021-08-29T09:32:53","modified_gmt":"2021-08-29T09:32:53","slug":"artificial-plants","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/behzistdanesh.com\/en\/artificial-plants\/","title":{"rendered":"Artificial plants \u2013 made from bio-based plastic\u064e\u064e"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\">News- Globally renowned creator and supplier of artificial <strong>green walls<\/strong>, Vistafolia, has launched a collaboration with the University of Surrey to create a new base <strong>polymer<\/strong>, using <strong>renewable<\/strong> <strong>sources<\/strong>, the material that their artificial plants are made from, while maintaining the established safety and design standards of its market-leading product<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Co-funded by Innovate UK, as part of the wider Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) programme and by Vistafolia, this KTP project will see Vistafolia\u2019s own research and development team working with two KTP Associates, Dr Elham Ketabchi and Dr Filip Ambroz, who will transfer and embed their existing knowledge in <strong>biomass<\/strong> processing and materials science, to enable Vistafolia to become the first and only artificial plant manufacturer<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Vistafolia\u2019s existing product already offers an alternative to living green walls, removing the use of 189 litres of <strong>water<\/strong> per year (per sqm of green wall compared to living plants), as well as <strong>fertiliser<\/strong> and <strong>pesticide<\/strong> usage. Bio-based polymers, or biopolymers, are natural materials created using living organism cells, such as biomass, food waste, or used cooking oil, and produce virtually no <strong>carbon
