This <strong>polymer<\/strong> is used in the production of clothes, automotives and carpets. Two companies, Geno and Aquafil, have jointly started the pre-commercial production of block <strong>caprolactam<\/strong> as a raw material for the production of nylon 6, and are currently investigating the possibility of making yarn for the textile and carpet industries, as well as <strong>engineering plastics<\/strong> from this polymer. These materials will be used by leading global companies in the field of renewable product development<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Plant\u00ad-based nylon 6 is the third major production line of Geneva on the way to commercialization. The company has signed agreements with a wide range of brands to accelerate the global commercialization of sustainable materials, with the potential to <strong>reduce greenhouse gas emissions<\/strong> by up to 100 million tons in the coming years.
