Plastic film in agriculture

Did you know that the annual global use of plastic films in agriculture is estimated at 4.7 million tons, or 2 percent of the latest global plastic production statistics (359 million tons)? In the European Union, plastic films make up 75 percent of all plastics used in the production of agricultural and livestock products. It is also reported that 5.3 percent of the world’s plastics are used in the agricultural sector.
