SoluBlue: The Winner of Green Challenge

SoluBlue impressed the jury by revolutionizing the way we store food to eliminate plastic and food waste

This innovative packaging looks like plastic, but is breathable and hydrophilic, absorbing excess moisture from food and preventing mould growth, so this extends shelf-life and reduces food waste. Food types, including cheese and fruit, were even found to stay fresh and safe for consumption after two years in SoluBlue’s packaging. SoluBlue will completely biodegrade in a normal household compost bin within just eight-weeks, as opposed to many plastic alternatives that need commercial composting facilities
